La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae

La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae is located right next to the bus terminal and JR Hakodate Station, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. There are plenty of dining options in the vicinity, and major attractions like the Red Brick Warehouse district are just a short tram or bus ride away. You can even catch a direct No.1 bus from the hotel to the Mount Hakodate Ropeway station. The room was spacious and exceptionally comfortable. Amenities were excellent—particularly the coin-operated laundries on multiple floors, which helped avoid queues and added convenience. We had a comfortable and pleasant stay at this hotel. I would highly recommend La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae to anyone visiting Hakodate.

The bathroom was my favorite: the shower stall actually is a small separate and enclosed room that includes the bathrobe next to it. I’m short (5 ft 4 inches) and the shower head was pretty close to me, which made the shower amazing. Also, there is a Lawson’s adjacent to the entrance of the hotel. Very useful! Just a 3-5 min walk from JR station. And immediately adjacent to bus and taxi stop. So convenient! Taking a taxi from this spot up to the Mt Hakodate ropeway base station only took about 10 mins and cost ¥1100.

I booked a 6-ppl room for my family, and we loved the space! Price was really good for a 6-ppl room, and that was why I decided to upgrade it. Location is good. The hotel locates right next to the JR station, and the famous morning market is within 10 mins walk range, and you can also visit Hakodate's Lucky Pierrot, which is just across the street. There was also a small food court connected to the hotel providing bentos / seafood / BBQ / ramen .....

I am reviewing this as a neurodivergent person (with autism) who is sensitive to noise and heat in particular. I really enjoyed this hotel and it surprised me. Firstly, it is located in a really great place, just a short 2 minute walk or so from Hakodate station which has plenty of buses, trains and trams. The hotel is also fairly large, so you can navigate to it just by finding the hotel logo when you're near the area. Really useful for getting around. The staff were really welcoming on my trip, had good control of English and answered my questions quickly and resolved my issues. It was lovely to get their support. They held my bags for me one day as well without issue while I explored around town. The room itself was good as well. The rooms aren't noisy (although, note I did specifically request a corner room far from elevators), and there wasn't any leakage of noise between rooms I could hear. The temperature of the room could be controlled for heating or cooling, even in winter which is great for me. It does get cold normally but it's useful being able to control it myself. My room had a small view outside and it was nice to watch the snow and check out what to expect outside. The hotel itself is also connected to a Lawsons downstairs which is handy if it's too snowy and hard to get anywhere, as well as a few restaurants, onsen and gym. Handy. Internet was also good. Could easily stream anything I wanted. Was surprised how fast the speeds were. And the cost was quite reasonable as well. Cheaper than others but it was far more convenient than others as mentioned above.

The location was great, the pillow and bed were very comfortable.
